The anime adaptation of "One Punch Man" has been such a runaway success that fans are now eagerly waiting for the next season. Meanwhile, although there are no confirmed details yet on its continuation, it is speculated that "One Punch Man" season 2 could debut in December.

According to TheBitBag, it usually takes one to two years for an anime production company to come out with a complete season. But the creator of the anime adaptation of "One Punch Man," Murata Yusuke, already announced that he is hard at work to make a second season possible.

While a year may be the shortest time it will take before season 2 can come out, the industry follower said that with Yusuke doubling his pace, early episodes for season 2 may be finished in as early as six to nine months.

Nonetheless, as the season ender for "One Punch Man" aired last December, fans can expect season 2 to premiere by December this year at the latest, almost a year after the first season ended.

Meanwhile, since some anime adaptations divert from the original manga series' plot, some fans are wondering if Yusuke intends to closely follow the events in the "One Punch Man" manga. Based on how season 1 was presented, YouthHealthMag stated that fans might expect season 2 to follow the storylines as presented in the manga. Reportedly, season 2 will see Saitama and some of the heroes in the Hero Association take on a group of monsters, with another human, Garou, as the big bad.

In the manga, Garou was a student of Silver Fang but turned dark and brooding, leading to an inevitable clash with the heroes. Garou was also able to develop his strength to be on par with Class-S heroes, and the Hero Association deemed him dangerous enough to be labeled "Human Monster.
