The official website for the upcoming "One Piece" movie has now been launched.
There's not much to see on the website as of right now, although fans will likely appreciate the short message from the manga's creator Eiichiro Oda saying, "We will do a movie. Yoroshiku!" The last part of Oda's short message roughly translates to "please wait for it," according to Crunchyroll.
Other than Oda's message, fans will also be able to see the iconic "One Piece" logo they have come to know and love over the years.
As for the movie itself, very few specifics are actually known at this point as it relates to what fans can expect in terms of the film's story.
The only hints that could possibly give fans an idea of what the story could be will likely come from the announced cast. The entire cast has not been named thus far but characters who have been confirmed include Luffy, to be played by Mayumi Tanaka; Zoro, who will be played by Kazuya Naki; and Sanji, who will be portrayed by Hiroaki Hirata, according to Latinos Post.
Other "One Piece" characters who will be in the movie include Chopper, Nami, and Usopp, among a cast of many others.
There are other concrete details now known about the movie, tentatively titled "One Piece Film 2016."
For instance, the film is already expected to premiere sometime around the summer of 2016. Currently, the upcoming "One Piece" film is slated to premiere in Japanese cinemas. Unfortunately, it is not known at this point if there will be plans moving forward to show the film elsewhere. How well it does back home could dictate whether or not the movie warrants being taken to other countries.
Oda is expected to reveal more details about the upcoming film in the very near future.
