The Straw Hat's captain, Monkey D. Luffy is still on his way to becoming the Pirate King in Eiichiro Oda's "One Piece." After recently defeating the savage Doflamingo, Luffy is now facing one of the four emperors of the sea, Big Mom. In chapter 865 of the manga series, Luffy and his lively band of pirates managed to deal damage to Big Mom. Speculations of her fate are filling up the rumor mill as fans wait for the next chapter.

According to a discussion on Reddit, spoilers reveal that Big Mom's scream is more than just a reaction to her heirloom breaking into pieces. Capone Bege explains that her fit of rage is a signal for her enemies that she has significantly weakened because of the incident.

The meltdown was devised by Bege in a clever plan that involved taking care of Commander Dogtooth so that the Straw Hat's captain could go ahead and do the one thing that will work to get Big Mom in disarray.

Inquisitr speculates that chapter 866 of "One Piece" will most likely explain why such a simple event can trigger a huge reaction from the Yonko. Spoilers reveal that the chapter will most likely feature a backstory from 63 years ago that will explain Big Mom's attachment to the now-broken Mother Caramel picture.

Fans are speculating that Mother Caramel is actually related to Big Mom and small details such as the word Elbaf made an appearance just before Mother Caramel disappeared. If that's so, it's possible that Big Mom might be related to the land of the giants that Luffy has encountered throughout his journey to become the Pirate King.

Other fans are also speculating that this entire confrontation with the emperor will lead to Big Mom joining the Straw Hat's crew. Hopefully, by then, Sanji will finally rejoin the team because it's just not the same without him.

"One Piece" chapter 866 will be delayed for a week as the staff takes a much-needed break from creating one of the most legendary manga series that Japan has given to the rest of the world.
