The still unannounced NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti may get rebranded since NVIDIA is currently speculated to refresh their lineup with the Pascal core line of video cards. This may mean the card is going to launch at the CES 2017 event, but this also hints it will be carrying a new name.

As noted by 3D Center (via WCCFTech), the Pascal refresh of new video cards may mean the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is going to be known as the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2080 Ti instead. However, there is no guarantee to this speculation, and it is even speculated that NVIDIA will use the GTX 11 moniker instead of a GTX 20 label.

The report does point out that this is still pure speculation. NVIDIA has yet to confirm if they are indeed refreshing their Pascal lineup and if the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is getting rebranded to coincide with this decision. As a matter of fact, NVIDIA has yet to even launch the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.

PC Advisor reports that the new video card is most likely launching during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January next year. It is noted that while the event is mostly for appliances and the like, there have been PC-related unveilings as well, and this may be the perfect time for NVIDIA to showcase the new video card.

NVIDIA's new card is rumored to sport 26 SM clusters enabled and 3,328 CUDA cores, using Pascal GP102, granting it up to 12 GB of GDDR5 memory. This would make it a more affordable option, but it is still nearly as comparable in performance to the GeForce Titan X.

Given that it has yet to be announced, there is no final suggested retail price yet for the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. It is rumored to be within the $700 to $800 range, but this is yet to be confirmed by NVIDIA.
