'No Man's Sky' to have a late 2015 release?

 Hello Games website

One of the most anticipated titles for this year is from developer Hello Games, "No Man's Sky." This open space exploration game is promised to be so big that numerous reports say that the areas on this title will be galaxy-like, and the developers even built space probe algorithms in-game to explore all worlds inside the title.

Checking the developer's website, Hello Games seems to be keeping mum about the title's release date, not updating the "TBA" date set on the page about a year ago. The silence from Hello Games has fuelled speculations about the game's impending release, with the latest rumors saying that "No Man's Sky" will be released before the year ends.

Recently featured in The New Yorker, it may indeed make its appearance in late 2015. According to the interview, the team is scheduled to finish the game at the end of this year.

Other details about the game also came to light. Aside from "No Man's Sky" being an open space exploration game, it seems there would also be some role-playing element to it. To complete the adventure, players must head toward the center of the galaxy and uncover the game's mystery, and how they do that is up to them.

Aside from space exploration, players can mine resources from the worlds they have explored, trade with other players, or fight and conquer. As planets are discovered in-game, information about already-explored areas is loaded on an in-game galactic map and updated online.

Most observers are of two minds, though. If the game will indeed be finished by the end of this year, this would probably mean that the general release of "No Man's Sky" would be scheduled in early 2016 instead.

However, if Sean Murray and his team would finish it by Q3 of this year, then players may see "No Man's Sky" on game shelves before 2015 ends.
