The Nintendo Switch has been surrounded in mystery ever since Nintendo officially unveiled it. It is still unknown if its display is a touchscreen, its price is still unknown, and Nintendo has yet to announce a lineup of launch games. However, GameStop CEO Paul Raines may have just indicated the console will have a motion control feature.

According to a report from IGN, Raines gave further details regarding the Switch during GameStop's earnings briefing. Raines confirmed that he had a chance to play with the Switch a few weeks back, and his immediate comment was that the Switch would be a major "game-changer" for the entire industry.

He then hinted that motion control would be featured. Given that the JoyCon controllers could be detached, with one-half of the controller in each hand, the console could have the same features as the original Wii.

"The Switch is a very interesting device," Raines stated. "A movement-related game is more fun for kids, you know, taking those Joy-con controllers off and then the master controller, you can really do a lot of interesting things with that in gameplay," he went on to say.

If the Switch were to feature motion controls, there would be a possibility of bringing back remastered versions of Wii games like "Super Mario Galaxy" and "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword."

While it has the potential of being a strong motivator in the industry, Raines did state that there was no guarantee the Switch would be a success. According to Raines, retailers would still have to wait and see, claiming that in the end, it was the gamers that would determine whether the Switch would succeed or not.

The report points out that Nintendo refused to give further details regarding the Switch, holding off any information until the next Nintendo Direct in January 2017. It is expected that this Nintendo Direct would confirm if the Switch had motion controls, gyroscope, and a touch screen display.

Nintendo Switch will launch in March 2017.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
