New MacBook Pro 2015 release date and additional details for WWDC

Apple's MacBook Pro lineup of notebooks was initially expected to be unveiled on Mar. 9, 2015, but according to the latest report published by the Wall Street Journal, it appears that the MacBook Pro with Retina Display will be showcased during the WWDC 2015 event, which will be held in June.

There are constant rumors that the upcoming MacBook Pro will be sporting a Retina Display and better hardware specifications. PC Advisor has stated that the upcoming notebooks will be fitted with Intel's new Broadwell chips, making them more powerful and energy efficient. It is expected that these Broadwell processors will be able to provide native support for the prodigious 4K resolution. Additionally, supplementing the processor will be 8 GB of RAM for the 13 inch models and 16 GB for the 15 inch ones.

Even if Apple has delayed the unveiling of its new refreshed lineup of Macbook Pro notebooks, the Mar. 9, 2015 event was still filled with a lot of goodies, including the unveiling of the highly anticipated Apple Watch as well as its iOS 8.2 operating system update and a 12-inch Macbook.

As for the MacBook Pro lineup, the last time Apple had updated its series was back in July, 2014. Now, alongside the Broadwell processors, integrated GPUs of these chips will be called Intel HD Graphics 6000, resulting in improved graphical performance. Additional details of the upcoming products will be made available at the WWDC 2015.
