New Kids Evangelism Ministry to Launch at Christian Resources Exhibition

This year’s National Christian Resources Exhibition will see the launch of ‘Kids Evangelism Explosion’, a new ministry established to show that the “Best people to reach kids with the Gospel are other kids”.

|TOP|Ken Iveson, of Evangelism Explosion (EE) said, “We believe the Great Commission is for everyone, not just adults or young people. This new resource is visual and interactive. It teaches children the clear Gospel message and equips them to share it with others.”

The new initiative will allow the Gospel to spread amongst young people by using such methods as hand motions, drama, colourful teaching tools and other techniques aimed at making learning fun, and allowing children to discover ways to share the Gospel with others.

Diana Home, who is on the board of EE, stated, “When your children ask you what you believe, can you explain it simply? One of Kids EE methods, a scroll of pictures in a peanut shell, teaches simple but profound truths.”

Kids EE has already be successful in other countries, and this has led to its launch in the UK at the National CRE on Thursday 11th May.

|AD|The National Director of EE, Peter Crook, said, “We are not in the business of indoctrination. We encourage Sunday school teachers to go on the training clinic. They learn how to teach the faith to children in a simple, fun, yet structured way. The children love it so much they want to tell their friends - and mums and dads!”

He continued, “In a post-modern society, we’ve lost touch with knowing what we believe and being able to express it in simple terms. Kids EE helps us put that right.”

CRE, which is being promoted as the leading annual Christian Exhibition in Europe, will be opened by Bible teacher and famous author, Jeff Lucas, who will also give keynote addresses every day at the event.

Overall, it is expected that more than 340 suppliers, charities and mission organisations will gather for the CRE, with more than 120 seminars and presentations taking place, aimed at helping churches and individuals to be more effective in their ministries.

The National CRE takes place from 9-12 May 2006, at Sandown Park, Esher, Surrey.
