The New England Patriots and the New York Jets clash on Sunday in one of three late afternoon starts in the NFL for Week 12 of the regular season. The game has a scheduled start time of 4.25 p.m. ET and takes place from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The game can be watched on TV on the CBS network or online through live stream via the link below.

Top plays bottom in the AFC East division clash on Sunday. The Patriots are way out at the top with an 8-2 record, which at the moment would secure them the second seed spot in the AFC, and with it a bye through the First Round of the Playoffs.

Meanwhile, the New York Jets are in the basement of the AFC East with a poor 3-7 record. Their chances of making the postseason are already in tatters, but they will be hoping to put in a good run to end the season, and today, to give their fierce division rivals a hit.

The Patriots do have a comfortable gap at the top of the AFC East, however, they will also be looking at the Playoffs picture, and at the moment they are conceding the number 1 seed spot to the Oakland Raiders.

New England will also be looking at the developments elsewhere as the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs are both on 7-3, and chasing the Raiders.

It would take a significant downturn of form for the Patriots to lose out on one of the top two seeding positions, and they will want to continue winning and maintain momentum heading into the postseason.

That means starting with a win here today against the Jets.

Patriots' quarterback, Tom Brady, who missed the opening four weeks of the season due to suspension for Inflategate, has since gone 145 of 206 for 1,915 yards and 16 touchdowns.

If the Jets are to cause an upset today they will have to get in Brady's face and not give him time to pick off his receivers.

However, as well as Brady, they will need to find a way to stop LeGarrette Blount, who has gone 802 yards on 201 carries for an average gain of four yards and an impressive 12 touchdowns so far this season.

Opposite them will be Ryan Fitzpatrick calling the shots for the Jets. He is 168 of 298 for 1,983 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Matt Forte has been their star on the rush, and he has gone 732 yards on 189 carries for an average gain of 3.9 yards and 7 touchdowns.
