NBA rumors: Carlos Boozer on wish list of multiple teams

Carlos Boozer may no longer be as dominant and explosive as during his time with the Utah Jazz and the Chicago Bulls but make no mistake about it, the 33 year old NBA veteran can still give any team a lift even if it means coming off the bench.

With most top free agents gone and signed up, several teams who are still looking to fill up their rosters are now focusing their attention on available NBA veterans, with Carlos Boozer being one of them.

Boozer played for the Los Angeles Lakers and was hardly a shade of himself if one tries to recall the days he used to be a reliable scorer and rebounder. His numbers last season apparently speak for itself but still, he can spell starters with some good minutes when called upon.

Among the teams reportedly interested in the 13-year NBA veteran include the San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Clippers, New Orleans Hornets, Toronto Raptors, and the New York Knicks.

At 33, Boozer will most likely be interested in joining a team that can give him one thing any NBA player would be looking for – an NBA ring.

On that note, the team that could likely give that are the San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Clippers. And seeing that Boozer will most likely be offered no more than the NBA veteran's minimum salary, a wise choice would be the Spurs who are pretty much revved up.

Everyone knows that LaMarcus Aldridge is there together with David West. West also sacrificed big money in favor of a ring and given the chance, Boozer may want to do the same.

However, Boozer could be giving up not only money but the chance to play. With a loaded forward line, Boozer is likely to spend more time on the bench than on the floor.

At 33, it remains to be seen if Boozer would be willing to sit on the bench rather than play. Apparently, this could woo him into deciding where to go, although it would not be surprising if he wanted a balance between some playing time and a chance to win an NBA ring.
