'My Soul My Soul Was Chosen' - new single release from Empire Nation

UK worship band Empire Nation have released their single "My Soul Was Chosen".

The single is their first to be released after entering into partnership with Kingsway Distribution.

Ed Bird, lead singer and guitarist, said, "We're really excited to be joining Kingsway Distribution and are looking forward to working with such an experienced and talented group of people."

The Easter story is a strong theme in "My Soul Was Chosen" and the video focuses on the Last Supper in a modern setting.

Bird shares: "'My Soul Was Chosen' is meant to bring the Easter story to life – it's us imagining what it would have been like to have been there at the time, but knowing what we know now about the resurrection.

"We wanted to do the same thing with the video. We knew it might be risky to try to recreate the Last Supper, but we just wanted to do something to stir people's imaginations and bring the scene to life."

The new single is taken from the band's second album, Closer, which has now been re-released through Kingsway Distribution.

Mark Bowater Music and Media Manager at Kingsway is enthusiastic about the band: "This is a band that understands the importance of touring hard and serving faithfully and as such we believe that God is starting something new in them.

"We consider it a real privilege to walk with them on this adventure. And by the way… the album is tremendous!"
