Fans who have waited anxiously for details on upcoming expansion content for "Mortal Kombat X" can now heave a sigh of relief as a new gameplay trailer showing new characters in action has been released online.

The video, already on YouTube, highlights the four new characters that will be added to the roster of Kombatants for "Mortal Kombat X." "Kombat Pack 2" includes Leatherface from the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" series of films, the Xenomorph from the "Alien" movies, franchise veteran Bo Rai Cho and Tri-Borg, a cyborg-hybrid of "Mortal Kombat" characters Sektor, Cyrax, and Robot Smoke.

Of all new charcters, only Bo Rai Cho made it to the list of expected new fighters in the current "Mortal Kombat" title. When developer NetherRealm Studios first teased the upcoming expansion pack last year, fans and hardcore players came up with different characters who would make it to the "Kombat Pack 2" list. Aside from Bo Rai Cho, previously predicted characters included Rain, Baraka, Spawn, and even Wolverine.

Meanwhile, GameSpot reported that the upcoming "Kombat Pack 2" expansion will also unlock additional items for "Mortal Kombat X" players. There will be a bonus character that was previously only available as a pre-order/paid content fighter – Goro.

In addition, there will be at least three new available "Skin Packs" with different character skins and costumes for existing "Mortal Kombat X" fighters such as Liu Kang, Cage, Sub-Zero, and Skorpion. The fourth expansion item, the "Apocalypse Pack," comes with three new character, Apocalypse-themed skins for D'Vorah, Erron Black, and Takeda.

The release date of the "Kombat Pack 2" expansion is yet to be confirmed, as well as its prices. However, if the first "Kombat Pack" is any indication, the upcoming expansion might also be for $30.
