Since Apple did not make any hardware announcement at the WWDC 2016 event, fans expect the tech giant to launch new products at the upcoming September event. Speculations suggest that the focus of the launch will be the iPhone 7, with other hardware flagships like the MacBook Pro 2016 edition being revealed after the new iPhone.
According to Yibada, rumors suggest that the September launch will highlight the iPhone 7 and maybe even the Apple Watch 2. However, other expected hardware announcements like the MacBook Pro and new iPads will take a back seat, and will instead become official as early as October. The industry follower added that this makes sense for Apple, since the iPhone 7 is one of the most anticipated products this year. Meanwhile, fans can still wait a bit longer for the MacBook Pro 2016 to come out, since the current 2016 edition of the iPad Pro is still enjoying its recent release as a professional-level, laptop/tablet hybrid.
Meanwhile, although Apple yet to come out with specifics for the release date of its new hardware lineups, the 2016 MacBook Pro seems definite to have a late 2016 release. Reportedly, some of the older, non-Retina MacBook Pro models has been removed from online retailer lists, signifying that the new versions are bound to come out soon.
The new MacBook Pro 2016 is a much-anticipated iteration, since it reportedly features heavy upgrades and improvements over its predecessor. Reportedly, of the things that the new MacBook will change is an adoption to Lightning-type port in favor of the standard, 3.5mm audio jack. Apparently, this new MacBook Pro design feature is inspired by the same change in the iPhone 7. In addition, it is already expected that the MacBook Pro 2016 will carry some upgrades in its specs under the hood, and may even have a revamped design, with emphasis on lighter weight and a slimmer body.
