Macbook Air Apple

A lot of Christmas deals on the current MacBook Air has already emerged, with retailers attempting to attract holiday shoppers into buying the laptop. However, one might want to hold off purchasing the current model of the MacBook Air because a new models is reported to appear in the first quarter of next year, packed with a lot of improved specs and features.  This is still unconfirmed though, but it's still worth considering.

Below are five reasons why consumers should not buy the MacBook Air right now.

1. Intel Broadwell processor

One of the most talked about update on the upcoming MacBook Air is that it will pack Intel's Broadwell bound for release early next year. Apple will reportedly have the first dibs on the chipset that will yield a thinner and lighter MacBook Air. This is because the new 14nm processors do not require cooling fans.

2. USB Type-C port

Another alleged feature of the MacBook Air is that it will pack the new Type-C USB ports that are thinner than the current version. Moreover, Type-C USB ports offer smaller connectors than USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports.

3. Larger and Retina display

Consumers want to see the new MacBook with larger 12.2-inch Retina screen display. This just might come to pass next year when a MacBook Air with Retina display is introduced for the first time, which will make it at par with the MacBook Pro.

4. Better battery capacity

In order to support the power hogging features in the new MacBook Air, the laptop is said to sport a better battery capacity.

5. Cheaper price

Those who are not interested in buying the upcoming MacBook Air should still hold their horses in buying the current laptop because its price will surely go down once the new laptop is released.
