Family is the most important relationship that we have next to God. In our pursuit of providing well for our families and achieving great success in our careers, we often find ourselves in jobs that require staying away from our homes – and the very people that we love the most.

Are you hoping that someday you'll have a job that will enable you to stay with your family, whether inside and outside the home? Here are some job ideas for you.

1. Be a home-based virtual worker

Having a job doesn't always mean staying outside the home, as in the case of home-based workers. You can try looking for online or virtual job offers that only require you to have a laptop or desktop computer and a stable Internet connection. Such jobs revolve around writing, transcribing, online tutorials, and other Internet-based commission work.

Bonus? Aside from not having the need to purchase uniforms or to even take a bath before working, husbands or wives can be with their beloved spouses while earning a decent wage.

2. Be your own business manager

Who says that you can't be a manager of your own business? Start that business of your own choice. Better yet, partner with your spouse in this project. Not only are you given the opportunity to work together, you can also stay at home for as long as you want to be with your kids.

Bonus? You can teach your kids the great value of saving and earning their own money. Chinese businessmen teach their kids to run their family business by giving their kids a job in their own company. At times, these Chinese kids work as regular employees, just like hired hands. Thus, they get to learn the necessary skills to run the family business.

3. Offer to do jobs on commission

You can also be a home-based virtual worker even without Internet connection. You can offer your service on a variety of jobs that don't require you to stay away from home. The only thing this kind of jobs requires is skill and some contacts.

If you're a painter, offer to do commissioned paintings for people. If you're a songwriter, you can offer to write songs for a fixed amount. If your passion is cooking, you can take orders for food or other baked goods. You can do all sorts of jobs at home, and the only time you go out is when you deliver the finished product.

Bonus? You can let your family join in the fun by letting them help out with whatever needs to be done.

Explore your creativity

My friends, God has given us both the power to produce wealth and do good works at the same time . He has equipped us with the potential and skill that we need to succeed in life, all for His glory. Go on and explore ways to earn to provide for your family, all the while enabling yourself to spend time with them and letting them see that you love them so much.

"But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever." (1 Timothy 5:8)
