Netflix released a new trailer for "Longmire" season 6, which will premiere next month. Fans need to catch the new batch of episodes streaming on the media platform, as the upcoming season will be the last for the crime drama series.
As reported by Cinema Blend, "Longmire" season 6 will arrive on Netflix on Friday, Nov. 17 at 3:01 a.m. EDT. Viewers of the series for the past five seasons would have to subscribe to Netflix so that they can binge-watch the remaining episodes of "Longmire." The latest trailer revealed that the final season will have Sheriff Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) facing the biggest challenge in his life.
After all the problems that came his way in season 5, Walt is now thinking about leaving his post as the sheriff of Absaroka County. Although, the main hero of the series should remain strong until the very end as the bad guys continue to plague his town. For one, Henry (Lou Diamond Phillips), who was captured at the end of season 5, is waiting to be rescued. Walt needs to do his best at the soonest time possible so that he can save Henry's life.
"Longmire" season 6 is also expected to drain the remaining energy out of Walt, as he will become tormented both physically and mentally. There is no certainty if Walt will finally surrender his badge in his last moment in the show, but one of his most trusted allies, Cady (Cassidy Freeman), does not want him to give up so easily.
"Longmire" originally came from A&E, although the network decided to cancel the series after three seasons. Fortunately, Netflix was able to save the show and had the fourth season released in the streaming media platform. Since 2014, the fans have been contented with the new production, although it cannot be denied that all good things must come to an end. Netflix confirmed season 6 as the show's last, Engadget reported.
"Longmire" is based on a novel by Craig Johnson about a Wyoming sheriff who is trying to find justice for the murder of his wife. Aside from Taylor and Phillips, "Longmire" season 6 also stars Katee Sackhoff as Victoria Moretti.
