Rapper Lil Wayne has announced that he will be retiring and that 'Tha Carter V' will be his final album.

Lil Wayne, also known as Weezy, made his retirement announcement last night, confirming that his upcoming album will be his last.

The rapper told MTV News: "It's the final Carter album. It's stopping at five." He continued, "I personally plan on this being my final solo album, yes and it's definitely the final Carter album. It's the final Carter album. It's stopping at five."

However, he did say that if someone offers him 25 million, he may record another album in the future. "25 to 35 million would get me to do another solo album after this," he said.

'Tha Carter V' album is set to launch on May 5, 2014. However, that release date might be changed to a later date, according to news outlets.

Weezy's latest album release will come three years after the release of 'Tha Carter IV', which went straight to the Billboard 200, selling nearly 1 million albums in the first week. Last year, he released "I Am Not a Human Being II."
