Lil Peep death news: Girlfriend Bella Thorne shares emotional tribute video on Instagram

Following the shocking news of 21-year-old rapper Lil Peep's death, his girlfriend Bella Thorne has paid an emotional tribute for the rapper in a self-filmed video she shared on her Instagram story. The "Awful Things" rapper was scheduled to perform in California to end his tour on Nov. 16, just hours before his suspected suicide. News of Lil Peep's death was made public by his Manager Chase Ortega on Thursday.

Thorne shared a close relationship with the rapper, and was often seen with him in public. The couple was spotted kissing on a date in Los Angeles in September.

In her Instagram story, the former Disney starlet shared how every Lil Peep fan should know how talented and great he was. Appearing to tear-up as she laid in her bedroom, Thorne added that she found him even more great as a person. She also took to Twitter expressing her disbelief saying life did not do Lil Peep's greatness justice.

According to a report by Mirror, Lil Peep was working on new music before his death. He recently released his debut album in August of this year titled "Come Over When You're Sober (Part One)" with tracks including "The Brightside" and "Benz Truck."

Aside from his girlfriend, several other personalities in the music industry expressed their grief through Twitter including music producer Marshmello. He revealed that he had a conversation with Lil Peep just last week to discuss making music together. Other artists who paid tribute to the rapper on Twitter include Juicy J, Chris Webby, and Pete Wentz.

Lil Peep, whose real name was Gustav Åhr, was reportedly suffering from anxiety. In one of his recent interviews with Zane Lowe on Monday, the two discussed the rapper's battle with the mental illness. Åhr told Lowe that things were getting worse.
