Martin Riggs (Clayne Crawford) and Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans) are facing their worst nightmares in the next episode of the cop comedy-drama TV series "Lethal Weapon" season 2. Well, sort of.

The promo for episode 7, titled "Birdwatching," will see the two trying to foil a kidnap-for-ransom case. A boy was abducted and his father would give everything to find him. "How much is a son worth to his father?" the teaser opens.

However, it would not be long before the iconic duo realizes that something is totally off about the case, thwarting them from actually solving it.

According to the episode's official synopsis, this case will come side-by-side with an investigation of a surfer's death. Lots of cases to solve, but Murtaugh is more occupied with another issue. His wife Trish (Keesha Sharp) has a new friend, and he is growing suspicious by the minute.

As it turns out, he has every right to be, as this new friend will come in the name of former Chicago Bulls star Scottie Pippen. An NBA champion working closely with his wife for a charity event does not sound good to any husband.

In the meantime, his buddy Riggs will experience violent nightmares that will, in turn, bring up long-buried childhood scars.

Despite all the bad dreams and mysteries, "Birdwatching" promises to give light breaks within the episode, with Pippen guest starring. It would be very interesting to see how Murtaugh plans to match up with a basketball legend.

"Lethal Weapon" is a series based on the popular 1980s film franchise of the same title, which starred Mel Gibson as Riggs and Danny Glover as Murtaugh. It follows the unlikely partnership of a slightly unhinged cop and a veteran detective who is trying to live a life with as minimum stress as possible.

Catch "Lethal Weapon" season 2 episode 7 as it hits the small screens on Tuesday, Nov. 21, at 8 p.m. EST, on FOX.
