Although Lenovo just recently launched its newest flagship iteration, the Vibe K4 Note, speculations have already floated online about its successor. An alleged Lenovo flagship has been spotted in a certification agency.

According to GSM Arena, the continued success of the K Note series might have prompted Lenovo to have an early preparation for the K4 Note's successor, and a recent inadvertent sighting might prove it. The industry follower said that a recent Lenovo flagship has been seen listed on TENAA, with model number K5t38.

TENAA is China's Telecommunications Equipment Certification Center, an agency tasked with approving telecom devices prior to being marketed in-country, similar to the US FCC. Lenovo and other China-based manufacturers must submit their devices for certification before release, and because of this, a TENAA sighting often reveals flagships much earlier than anticipated.

Aside from the early design images, the listing also revealed that the mystery smartphone has a 5.5-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution, a 13-MP main shooter and an 8-MP front camera, and features an above-average 3,500-mAh battery. Reportedly, there will be two versions of the device, one with a 2-GB RAM and 16-GB internal storage and the other with 4-GB RAM and 32-GB storage.

According to Android Community, both versions will have microSD card support for storage expansion. Meanwhile, the device will feature a Helio P10 octa-core chipset and a Mali-T860 MP2 graphics processor. The mystery phone is also said to be one of the first smartphones to feature P10 (10-core) tech this year.

The industry observer added that the mystery Lenovo flagship is an additional iteration to the Lemon 3 smartphone planned for release this year, and since the iteration has been submitted to TENAA, fans might see the new device to be at least available in China during the first six months of 2016.
