The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland is currently on an official visit to Romania with Blythswood Care, a Scottish charity helping to turn around the lives of young people who have had a difficult start in life.

As part of her visit, the Right Reverend Lorna Hood has spent some time meeting and playing with kindergarten children at the Reformed High School in Cluj, Romania.

The school was taken over by the state in 1948 and were not allowed to speak of religion until the fall of Communism in 1989.

Since 1990, it has been under the auspices of the Hungarian Reform Church, which has a presence in Romania as large parts of Hungary were taken over after the First World War.
