Katy Perry, John Mayer split again

Katy Perry and John Mayer have reportedly decided to part ways again. Rumor has it that the couple has split up for the fourth time just three weeks after they were seen spending the Fourth of July holiday together in Chicago.

The couple appeared to be very happy together when they were seen attending the Grateful Dead's farewell concert at Soldier Field. E! News exclusively learned from a source close to the couple that they've called it quits again.

No further details are available as of the moment.

Perry and Mayer first started dating three years ago, and they were first spotted in June 2012 getting cozy at Soho House in Los Angeles. They reportedly broke up that June, only to get back together two weeks later.

In 2013, the "Hot and Cold" singer and the "Daughters" hitmaker recorded a song together called "Who You Love," and they even shot a music video together showing them kissing.

In February 2014, the pair broke up, reportedly due to their busy schedules. The two kept their distance from each other until this past January, when they were seen together attending a dinner party in Beverly Hills. Perry and Mayer reportedly arrived in separate cars at the event and left separately before reuniting at Perry's home, a source told the Daily Mail.

Throughout their on-off relationship, there were occasional rumors that the pair had gotten engaged, and the most recent engagement rumor sparked right before they split in 2014.

Mayer is Perry's first boyfriend since her divorce from actor Russell Brand in 2011. Meanwhile, Mayer has been linked to celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Minka Kelly.
