Justin Bieber news: Pop star takes injured mother to church on a wheelchair

After spending a well-deserved retreat in the Maldives, pop superstar Justin Bieber was seen taking her mother Pattie Mallette to his favorite place, Hillsong Church in Beverly Hills.

The 23-year-old Bieber has been regularly going to church and is usually spotted with his girlfriend Selena Gomez, but his most recent attendance had churchgoers see him bring along his mother, who he had to cart on a wheelchair due to an injury she sustained on the first day of their vacation.

The two have been estranged for years, mainly due to the singer's previously wayward lifestyle that had him arrested multiple times. Bieber used to party really hard end would often end up driving under the influence. He was also arrested for egging a neighbor's house at one time. His erratic behavior eventually took a huge toll on his relationship with his mother, to the point that he had described their relationship as "pretty non-existing."

After a long time of separation, the mother and son finally tried to mend their relationship and rebuild the once strong bond the two once had.

Mellette, 41, is very proud that her son is trying to reestablish his relationship not only with his mother, but also with Jesus, and according to her, Bieber's renewed faith is yielding excellent results.

TMZ shared an Instagram photo of her with the caption "I'm so proud of the amazing young man you are, and the young man you are becoming. None of us are perfect and never will be, (so we will always need patience and grace for each other), but your genuine growing relationship with Jesus is evident in the choices you are making daily and the good 'fruit' you bear. I admire your character and integrity."

The pop sensation has definitely been on the right track since deciding that he wanted to turn his life around. After the service, he was seen walking out of the church with his mother and friend Patrick Schwarzenegger, with whom they left with in a cheerful mood.
