After the announcement of her engagement to Austin Forsyth, Joy-Anna Duggar is now in the middle of a controversy because of losing a lot of weight.

According to speculations, the ninth-oldest child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar from the "19 Kids and Counting" fame seems to be undergoing a major weight loss. Fans are worried that the 19-year-old is making a lot of effort to lose weight for her upcoming wedding.

The controversy started when her photo with her youngest sister Josie was posted on the family's Facebook account in late April. Some fans note that her current appearance might be taking a toll on her health.

One of the commenters on the photo asked if the fifth Duggar daughter's health is okay because of her drastic weight loss. On the other hand, another fan mentioned her opinion regarding the negative effects on women who are doing everything they can to find value. Another commented that the future bride actually looked fine before.

However, other fans believe that she is actually looking more beautiful now, and she somehow resembles her older sister Jessa Duggar-Seewald in the photo.

The family has yet to comment on the controversy, but they are expected to be currently busy with the preparations for her upcoming wedding in October this year.

US Weekly revealed the announcement of the couple's engagement in early March, where Duggar expressed her joy regarding her upcoming wedding. "We just got engaged!" the upcoming bride told the publication. "I'm so excited to be engaged to my best friend — Austin made it so romantic, it's amazing."

Forsyth, on the other hand, said in the same interview that he is overwhelmed with emotions. He also said that he is very excited to see what lies ahead for them in the future.

Fans of the family are expecting to hear more news about the couple's wedding.
