Joey Feek latest update: Rory shares about his sweet Valentine's Day date with Joey

This Life I Live blog by Rory Feek

It's a great week for power couple Rory and Joey Feek as they have celebrated special events, despite the latter being confined in bed for her condition.

Rory and Joey were both nominated for Best Group/Duo in the recently concluded Grammy Awards, but they didn't win. The couple didn't attend the party but stayed home to watch the event on TV.

Rory previously expressed that they were still grateful despite not winning the award. They even posted a photo of their nominee medal and stated that having been nominated is more than enough. However, on Friday, the 49-year-old country artist wrote on his blog This Life I Live that what he said about the nomination being more than enough is not true.

"I would say that just being able to wake up and look into the eyes of the people we care about and tell them that we love them is enough. Everything else is just icing on the cake," Rory wrote.

The "That's Important to Me" singer also shared how he spent Valentine's Day with his wife. Knowing how much his wife enjoys sushi, Rory braved the blizzard on Sunday afternoon and drove out with their daughter, Indiana, to get Joey the food she loves.

Joey may be spending her final days battling her terminal cancer, but Rory is always on her side and even gave her a Valentine's Day date to remember.

"Her three sisters helped her with make-up and she put on a nice shirt and scarf to look pretty for me... and we both even wore sweet corsages that someone sent to us in the mail for the big day (I hadn't even seen a corsage since my senior prom)," he details. "We lit a candle and together, we shared an incredible Valentines day evening," Rory added.

That night was also the sweetest night the couple ever had since November, Rory added. It was the first time that they've been on the same bed ever since Joey started hospice care.

Also this week, Rory shared about Indiana's birthday party. On Wednesday, the Feeks' little Indy turned two. Rory shared photos on his blog and it's obvious Indy had a wonderful time, especially with her chocolate cake.
