'Jessica Jones' season 2 release date, rumors: Series to feature The Punisher?

"Jessica Jones" season 2 is not going to premiere until after the launch of several other Netflix–Marvel shows, and because of this, no official release date has been announced. However, when the show does return, it will be bringing in multiple villains, and one such villain may be Frank Castle, also known as The Punisher (Jon Bernthal).

According to Game N Guide, the Punisher is possibly going to make an appearance on the show, given how popular he was in "Daredevil" season 2. A solo "Punisher" series was announced back in April, but no launch date has been given as of the moment, hinting that he may appear first in order shows like "Jessica Jones" or "The Defenders."

Given how "Jessica Jones" and "Daredevil" are closely tied together, it is more likely that Punisher will appear in "Jessica Jones" season 2 before he stars in his solo series. Whether he will be a recurring villain, killing the criminals that Jessica (Krysten Ritter) wants to arrest, or as a supporting hero for her cause is still unknown.

A few weeks back it was confirmed that "Jessica Jones" season 2 would have multiple villains, and one of them may be the Punisher, or it could be a villain both Jessica and the Punisher are chasing after. His cameo may also serve as a backdoor premiere to set-up the solo "Punisher" series.

Jessica and Daredevil (Charlie Cox) will be appearing together on "The Defenders," but it is unlikely that the Punisher will be coming in as a helping hand, given that the show will be focusing on the core group first and with its villains that force these heroes to band together.

Neither Netflix nor Bernthal has stated if he will be on the aforementioned shows, either as a supporting hero or as a villain.

"Jessica Jones" season 2 has no official release date yet, but it is expected to premiere in 2019.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
