Some of the biggest names in pop music will be featured in the second season of "Jane the Virgin."

For starters, it has been reported that Kesha will be appearing in the highly acclaimed The CW series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, she will guest-star in the second episode of season 2 as Annabelle, a rocker who becomes Jane's (Gina Rodriguez) neighbor. Her character is described as someone who does not like babies, which could be a potential problem for Jane as she just gave birth to her baby, Mateo.

In a statement, showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman said, "We are so thrilled Kesha will be appearing on 'Jane'! We are all huge fans of her and we are so excited to welcome her to the 'Jane the Virgin' family."

Kesha also confirmed her appearance by posting a tweet on Monday, Aug. 31, "Stoked!!!!! I'll be making a guest starring appearance on @CWJanetheVirgin on @TheCW!"

Kesha, who made her TV debut in her MTV reality series "Kesha: My Crazy Beautiful Life," will not be the only star making an appearance as it was announced earlier this month that Britney Spears will also be guest starring as part of Rogelio's (Jaime Camil) storyline.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the "Toxic" singer will guest star on the fifth episode of the season as Rogelio's nemesis. Urman told EW that after hearing about their feud from Rogelio's side, "we are eager to hear Ms. Spear's story, which we assume is quite different."

Spears confirmed the casting on her Twitter account on Aug. 11, revealing to her followers that she would be "guest starring on one of my favorite shows ever."

Urman told People magazine that when they found out that Spears is a fan, they asked her to be on the show.

"Happily, she said yes," said the showrunner.

Season 2 of "Jane the Virgin" premieres on Oct. 12 at 9 p.m. on The CW.
