Apple seeded the beta version of the iOS 8.2 update to developers, and jailbreaking group TaiG rolled out the iOS jailbreak for this version to ensure that it will remain compatible with the system.

According to Motoring Crunch, jailbreak users should not worry as they can still enjoy Cydia, thanks to Chinese jailbreaking group TaiG. This is no surprise since the group expressed its confidence in bringing a stable jailbreak for the upcoming version of iOS.

The report added a step-by-step procedure on how to jailbreak an iPhone that is using the latest firmware. It is important to remember that TaiG's iOS 8.2 jailbreak only works with Windows PC installed with iTunes. Mac users can also use a Windows virtual machine that mirrors the functions of the Windows OS.

Before proceeding to the jailbreaking process, iPhone users need to ensure that they complete the following checklist:

  • Download TaiG on the PC.
  • Backup the iPhone (files, photos, documents, apps) using iCloud or the computer.
  • Turn off Find My iPhone and TouchID features.
  • Remove any security lock screen or passcode.
  • Enable Airplane Mode.
  • Ensure that there is at least 80 percent battery charge prior to the installation process.

Below is the step-by-step flashing instruction in order to jailbreak an iPhone. However, users are constantly reminded that jailbreaking will void the warranty of their phones.

Step 1: Connect the iPhone to a PC and run the TaiG software.

Step 2: Tick off the second box.

Step 3: Click on the large green button to install the firmware.

Step 4: Upon completion, unplug the iPhone and it will reboot into a jailbroken iOS 8.2.

TaiG Team's sole member XN ensured that the jailbreaking tool he developed is safe and added that he wants to build a reputable brand and is not developing for financial benefit.
