Edge of Nowhere Insomaniac Games

Game developer Insomniac Games has announced that they are currently developing two new games exclusively for the Oculus Rift in addition to one that will be ready to be released this summer.

The game studio recently revealed that "Feral Rites" and "The Unspoken" will be coming to the virtual reality headset. "Edge of Nowhere" was already announced at Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015 and is on its last stages of development. The latest games were shown to the members of the press and YouTube/Twitch streamers not so long ago.

Feral Rites Insomniac Games

"Edge of Nowhere" is a psychological thriller and will take players into an icy VR adventure. It is about an Antarctica expedition gone wrong and players will be playing as Victor Howard who is looking for his fiancée Ava Thorne. She is a part of the expedition crew. Players will get to experience scaling massive walls of ice and exploring lost caves, said to have been used by aliens. Who knows what else will players encounter in this game, aside from weird creatures.

"Feral Rites", meanwhile, will be putting players into an adventure-brawler VR environment. Players will be avenging their father's death, an island chieftain who was brutally murdered. There will be missions and quests, and one needs to explore the whole island, from the thick jungle to the ruined temples and through the lava river. To make things more interesting, players will have the power to transform into a wild beast and fight with other savages on the island.

The Unspoken

Last but not the least, "The Unspoken" in which spellcasting is the name of the game. Players will be able to summon magic and spells and fight it out with other spellcasters set in an urban jungle. The game offers a multi-player option so one needs to start fast in order to master the 25 spells available and use them at a flick of a finger.

"Edge of Nowhere" is scheduled to be released by June 6, "Feral Rites" by fall , and "The Unspoken" will be in time for the holidays this year.
