Apple made a promise earlier that the public will witness its latest all-in-one desktop PC before the year ends. At this point, tech enthusiasts have been checking the internet for fresh updates regarding the iMac Pro. Apple has not yet revealed the specs of the 2017 iMac version, although recent reports suggest that the iMac Pro will pack an A10 Fusion co-processor intended for the "Hey Siri" functionality.

Announced at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) back in June, the iMac Pro is probably the most anticipated desktop PC this 2017. As reported by The Verge, the upcoming iMac has become even more interesting with the latest findings of the well-known Apple firmware experts, Steven Troughton-Smith and Guilherme Rambo.

Specifically, they learned upon unlocking a software code that the iMac Pro will include an A10 Fusion co-processor. It appears that this additional chip is needed for two interesting features. For one, the A10 Fusion chip will enable the desktop to activate the "Hey Siri" voice command support as long as the desktop's power is on.

The leaked software code was explained further by another Apple tech expert, Jonathan Levin, who stated that the A10 Fusion chip will allow the iMac Pro users to enjoy the always-on "Hey Siri" feature, like in the latest iPhone devices.

However, the A10 Fusion co-processor for the iMac Pro 2017 is said to serve a bigger purpose than enabling "Hey Siri." Apple is reportedly using the A10 Fusion chip to include the Secure Boot feature. A co-processor would be needed to run the initial boot process of the desktop, then having the data passed on to the regular Intel x86 processor after being checked out by the software.

Meanwhile, BGR reported that the iMac Pro could highlight a similar anti-theft feature from the iPhone. It is rumored that the desktop PC will include "Find My iMac Pro" software, using mobile connectivity to track down the machine upon the incident of theft.

The iMac Pro 2017 is dubbed as the most powerful Mac desktop from Apple. With this, it is also expected to be the most expensive one yet, having an initial price of $4,999.
