It looks like the public will see more premium devices from Huawei in the coming months that is after the recent launch of the 2017 flagship handsets, Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro. All eyes are now on the upcoming mid-range smartphones this spring, headlined by Huawei P11 and P11 Plus. According to the latest leaks, the Huawei P11 Plus will sport the trendy 18:9 screen ratio display.
As reported by Android Headlines, the recent Huawei P11 Plus leaked renders show the usual tall display of the 2017 smartphones. The reduced bezels on the sides are also noticeable, making way for an almost all-screen front. Not just Huawei, but many other smartphone makers incorporated the 18:9 aspect ratio in their latest device lineup. With the anticipated arrival of Huawei P11 Plus, this trend is likely to continue well into 2018.
The Huawei P11 Plus is likely to get an upgrade in the camera department. Unlike its predecessor, P10, the handset is shown to have two camera modules instead of just one. However, the appearance of the dual camera bump is quite different compared to the previously released Huawei smartphones.
Meanwhile, the leaked images of Huawei P11 Plus reveal a USB Type-C port at the middle of bottom side. In spite of this, the 3.5mm headphone jack is still present, which means that the P11 Plus will not jump into the bandwagon started by Apple's iPhone 7 last year. A speaker is also spotted at the bottom of the device, although there is a possibility that these features will be altered, given that the device in the leaks could only be a prototype.
As tech followers believe that the smartphone in the latest leaked renders is the Huawei P11 Plus, other reports claim that it could be the successor to Huawei Nova 2i. For one, the said P11 Plus handset has some similarities in terms of design with the Nova 2i, thus raising the possibility that the device could be Huawei Nova 3.
Whether it is the Huawei P11 Plus or not, the device has the potential to be the company's next big shot. Other features spotted in the leaks include a front-mounted fingerprint scanner, which is embedded right under the home button. As per the display size, the rumored P11 Plus or Nova 3 is estimated to be around 5.5 inches in length.
The Huawei P11 and P11 Plus are expected to grace the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February next year.
