 Rockstar Games Newswire

Rockstar Games has unveiled another week-long event for its online sandbox title, "GTA Online."

Dubbed Combat Week, the event kicked off last weekend and will last until Thursday, May 19. According to an announcement posted on Rockstar Games Newswire, the new event offers discounts and bonus items, including heavy artillery and in-game items such as vehicles and weapons from the Warstock supplier. Some weapons and gears from Ammu-Nation are also included in the week-long sale.

For Warstock inventory, there is a 25 percent discount for all turreted limo, Rhino, and Buckingham Valkyrie vehicles. Meanwhile, Ammu-Nation has as much as 50 percent off on body armors, and there is a 25 percent discount on almost all weapons in the arsenal, which includes, rifles, snipers, and projectile weapons. There is also an ongoing sale in the ammo section of the store.

Meanwhile, as with other previous events, Combat Week also holds special challenges for "GTA Online" players, with the special missions having double the RP and in-game dollar rewards. This week, challenges such as the new In and Out challenges will net double the rewards for players. In addition, players who complete Cross The Line I, Come Out To Play V, and Till Death Do Us Part II on Monday and Tuesday will also get the double rewards. The event is also applicable to those who play Extraction V, Beast vs Slasher IV, and Siege Mentality I on May 18-19.

The Combat Week event is the latest content for "GTA Online," and is only a part of planned expansion in the future. Rockstar Games has already confirmed that a major update is underway for the game. Meanwhile, it is still unclear if Rockstar Games is planning to have the major update reach the campaign-based "Grand Theft Auto V," featuring new single-player DLC.
