In the next episode of "Grey's Anatomy," Dr. Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington) finally faces her estranged and abusive husband Paul Stadler (Matthew Morrison).

The trailer and promotional photos for the upcoming installment, which is titled "Four Seasons in One Day," were released just recently, and they show Wilson coming face-to-face with Stadler at the hospital.

She looks clearly surprised as her estranged husband just appeared out of nowhere and interrupted her daily routine at the medical establishment. Dr. Arizona Robbins sees the two of them talking and drops in on their conversation. Wilson introduces Robbins to her husband and they exchange pleasantries.

However, while they are talking, Wilson remembers how abusive Stadler was to her and wonders why he is there. It appears she is trying to hide her discomfort as they talk in the hospital lobby.

Wilson's current love interest, Dr. Alex Karev (Justin Chambers), knew about Stadler and his abusive behavior. This prompted him to investigate his whereabouts and confront him if necessary. He stalked Stadler one night and at a bar and followed him as he was taking a cab. Karev accidentally bumped into him on the sidewalk and wanted to beat him up but eventually relented. Stadler did not know that he was the boyfriend of Wilson. It remains to be seen what Wilson and Karev will do going forward with the reappearance of Stadler.

In the last episode, the medical staff at the hospital was cyber-attacked when a hacker froze their computer system. The FBI arrived to remedy the situation while the doctors had to find rudimentary ways to treat their patients. With the monitors and medical devices not functioning, they had to resort to "Stone Age" techniques to take care of the sick.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 14 episode 9 will air on Thursday, Jan. 18, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
