Announced last week, Rockstar Games is going live with new expansion for the online multiplayer component of "Grand Theft Auto V" today.
The Executives and Other Criminals DLC is an expansion that unlocks VIP criminal organizations in the game. When it rolls out, players will have the chance to get together and form their own organization. Once put up, the criminal organization will then unlock new co-op missions, special abilities, and additional challenges in Freemode.
The player who heads the criminal organization will also be able to hire and maintain other players as bodyguards. In addition, once the organization accumulates enough in-game dollars, the player can also purchase new luxury items and properties such as customizable apartments and mansions in Vinewood Hills, and the luxurious and fully staffed Super Yacht.
For players hired as bodyguards, they will receive regular in-game dollars as paychecks, as well as special rewards for reputation points and stats boosts.
While the new Executives and Other Criminals DLC brings a number of new items, vehicles, weapons, and properties to the game, one of the most noted and much-awaited introduction is the new Super Yacht. According to Express UK, the Super Yacht is not only a luxury vehicle, but can also serve as a base of operations for the organization.
The vehicle itself has a landing pad for the new SuperVolito Carbon helicopter. Meanwhile, as a base of operations, the yacht can reportedly be outfitted with radar controls for both offense (chasing and locking onto enemies) and defense (guarding against oncoming attacks). In addition, it was also believed that the yacht can be installed with top-of-the-line missile defense weapons system.
However, with the new expansion landing Dec. 15, not all "Grand Theft Auto Online" players get to enjoy the Executives and Other Criminals DLC. The new expansion will only be released on current-gen platforms. This means that only "GTA Online" players on PC, PS4, and Xbox One will be able to download the expansion content.
