Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars can now be enjoyed in Android devices, as Rockstar Games distributes the open world action-adventure game in Amazon Appstore and Google Play.

Chinatown Wars, the very first GTA game that had been released in iOS-operated devices back in 2010, was initially developed for PlayStation Portable and Nintendo DS players. But since the emergence of Android-running devices in the market today, it is not surprising that the company will also release a version that could be played by those who use the handheld products.

Aside from the Android release, iOS players are also given good news, as Rockstar Games rolled out the latest 4.1 update for the Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for iOS recently. It will now include a clearer graphics design with its full support Retina Display resolution, compatibility with MFo controllers, as well as the option to customize touchscreen controls.

These new iOS development could give iOS games the chance to play the game using the same experience as playing GTA using the usual gaming consoles.

In addition, the new mobile GTA application will feature the vibrant, multi-dimensional top-down camera scenes instead of the usual over-the-shoulder perspective that was featured in the earlier release of the game. This new vantage point will make the new app look just like the console games.

The Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars revolves around the story of Huang Lee, who took over the reign of his murdered father in the Triad syndicate. It also has a sub plot that focuses on drug trading, including items like marijuana, acid, heroin, cocaine, as well as ecstasy.

Unlike the other releases from the GTA franchise, players are allowed to destroy a police car in this game to escape the authorities and get their way out of the wanted zone.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is the thirteenth game in the GTA series.
