'Girl Meets World' season 3 episode 12 spoilers: Riley loses her teddy bear

Girl Meets World season 3 Disney

"Girl Meets World" is going to experience a large bear hunt in season 3 episode 12, titled "Girl Meets Bear," but it won't be a hunt for a real bear. As per the synopsis from IBTimes, Riley (Rowan Blanchard) will lose her favorite teddy bear, Barry, is suddenly lost. This will prompt everyone to go out hunting for it.

As everyone helps Riley look for her teddy bear, Auggie (August Maturo) will find a pair of silver gloves that belong to Cory (Ben Savage). Fans of the original "Boy Meets World" series from the 1990s will recall that these gloves were given to Cory by his father in "Boy Meets World" season 1 episode 19, titled "Kids Gloves."

Ben's father, Alan (William Russ), gave the gloves and a silver necklace to Cory for the latter's birthday. It was later revealed that he got the gloves during his time in the Navy, when he was a part of the boxing team. Alan had won every fight except one and he ended up brutally beaten for it but he was still proud knowing he had a legacy to pass.

Unfortunately, Ben had lost the gloves and it was never brought up again in the series. This time around, as Riley and friends look for the teddy bear, Ben will reminisce over the original events and remark over the significance of the silver gloves.

A report from Cartermatt also reveals that during this episode there is a possibility of Zay (Amir Mitchell-Townes) being in the episode and developing some form of relationship with Maya (Sabrina Carpenter). However, the report also notes that this is not yet confirmed and may not play out as speculated in the episode.

It is noted that Maya did have a little affair with Lucas (Peyton Meyer) but in the end Lucas and Riley got together.

"Girl Meets World" season 3 episode 12 airs this Aug. 26.
