The Coalition announced this week that the Xbox One X patch for "Gears of War 4" will be released this October. The upcoming update will provide necessary graphics adjustments in the game once the latest console version is launched next month.

As reported by WCCFTech, The Coalition made the announcement of the "Gears of War 4" Xbox One X update through their website post. Specifically, the Xbox One X patch for the game will provide additional content to support full 4K resolution graphics. The upcoming "Gears of War 4" update will also include HDR support, among other game improvements.

The 4K support coming with the Xbox One X patch is expected to make the "Gears of War 4" experience more impressive, given that the game itself is known for its state-of-the-art graphics and visual effects. Many gamers believe that the Xbox One X and "Gears of War 4" will be a great match.

The Coalition also revealed that brand new maps for "Gears of War 4" will be released. Players can expect new adventures as the October map arrives in the coming weeks.

"As we prepare for the Xbox One X Enhancements coming this November (more on that in a second), the release of the October Map Drop will coincide with our Xbox One X Ready Update in late October," stated the Coalition.

To note, the 4K support patch for "Gears of War 4" will be out ahead of the expected launch of the Xbox One X console on Nov. 7, so there will be more time for the studio to make sure that the game will run smoothly in the latest console edition. The Xbox One X is regarded as the most powerful console ever produced by Microsoft Xbox, featuring huge improvements over the original Xbox One hardware, Gaming Bolt reported.

The Xbox One X update for "Gears of War 4" was already announced by The Coalition at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) last June. The game studio teased that the title will shine even more by featuring 4K resolution.

"The first and probably most noticeable improvement is, of course, that we render the game at native 4K resolution," said "Gears of War 4" Technical Director Mike Rayner. "Not only does that mean a 4x increase in our native rendering resolution compared to 1080p on Xbox One, but it also means much higher resolution textures across the board."
