'Game of Thrones' season 6 plot rumors: Is Jon Snow alive?

Is Jon Snow alive? After "Game of Thrones" ended its fifth season with the image of a bleeding Jon Snow (Kit Harington) after he was stabbed by the Night's Watch, viewers couldn't believe that the HBO show would kill off the beloved character. This is especially because many believe that he and Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) are the only ones who can improve matters in Westeros. But new photos that surfaced over the weekend showing Haringotn filming in Belfast appear to give visual proof that Jon is alive and well.

Since July, "Game of Thrones"-centric website Watchers on the Wall has been reporting sightings of the 28-year old in Belfast, where certain scenes for the HBO show were being filmed. Some photos uploaded on the website feature the actor coming out of the airport and walking the streets of Belfast with some of his "GOT" co-stars. Some skeptics, however, thought that it wasn't enough proof that the actor would be coming back for a new season.

But naysayers may have changed their tune as over the weekend, new photos (via The Daily Mail) showing Harington in full Jon Snow costume appear to confirm that the character is alive and well.

In the photos, the actor is seen listening and taking directions while filming on the remote Northern Ireland hilltop. He is no longer wearing the all-black uniform of the Night's Watch, but is garbed in the Stark armor of deep green and grey, his sword on his hip. The website reports that the woman standing near Harington under an umbrella may or may not have been Carice van Houten, who plays the Red Witch Melisandre.

His reappearance on the hit HBO series' set follows an interview with Humo magazine, where he said that the show will be part of his life for a while.

"I'll probably be in my thirties when it's over," Harington said.

"Game of Thrones" returns to HBO in April 2016.
