'Frozen 2' movie rumors: Original cast not returning?

Fans were ecstatic when they found out that the well-received animated film "Frozen" has been granted a sequel. However, the production of the upcoming installment has now been riddled with rumors, some of them claiming that some of the voice talents have left the production.

A report from Game N Guide has stated that the voice actors for "Frozen 2" have allegedly quit, and because of this Queen Elsa (Idina Menzel), Princess Anna (Kristen Bell) and Olaf (Josh Gad) would not be present in the film. With this, the film is said to be focusing on a prince traveling across the lands, such as a frozen wasteland, to find his one true love.

Disney and Pixar have not given any statement regarding the matter, and many fans speculate that the report may be a hoax given that no other source confirms that the voice actors have indeed filed for resignation or that "Frozen 2" is going to be entirely about a prince traveling far and wide for a lost princess.

Vine Report points out that the lack of official news about the movie is probably the reason for the large number of rumors and speculations surrounding "Frozen." The theories surrounding the film vary, from speculations suggesting that the film will involve a fire witch that can rival Elsa, to Elsa discovering she is a lesbian, or even to Elsa and Anna fighting for the crown.

None of the rumors have been addressed by Disney, and many, if not all, are not true. Disney is known for keeping the plot of their films a secret up to the day of release, and Disney has practiced this high level of secrecy, particularly for films such as "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

The last official word from actress Kristen Bell was back in March, during an interview with Collider. Idina Menzel's last official statement was in May, speaking to ET Online. Both actresses gave no hint that they were resigning and had even indicated that development for "Frozen 2" was well on its way.

"Frozen 2" is expected to be released in 2017 or in 2018.
