PC gamers received some really good news from video game publisher Square-Enix when they announced that Final Fantasy XV will finally be released for Windows after two long years.

The game, which has been released for the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One in 2016 will finally be coming to PC on March 6 and will have a variety of features not originally included in its console counterparts, according to the announcement.

The Windows version, which will be called "Royal Edition" for consoles, can support 4k and 8k resolution with "high quality ambient occlusion and advanced hair simulation" for added realism.

Several gameplay content shall also be included, such as the addition of a new vehicle, the Royal Vessel boat, a speedboat with a sleek and classy look that allows Noctis and the party to travel between Cape Caem and Altissia.

The Windows/Royal Edition will also include all the DLC that was released for the consoles such as Episode Gladiolus, Episode Prompto, Episode Ignis, and the Comrades multiplayer expansion. A first person mode will also be available, which would give the game something of a "Skyrim" feel about it, which is an exciting prospect.

Several areas will also be added for players to explore, such as an expansion to the Insomia City Ruins. Those who are up to the challenge can also try their hand at the additional bosses that the Royal Edition offers. These include the three-headed Cerberus and the heavily armored Omega and the Rulers of Yore.

Based on the PC game's original trailer, the main character Noctis is going to get an upgrade to his techs with a feature called "Arminger Unleashed" that will add more depth to his fighting style.

The minimum requirements for the game have also been revealed prior to the release and was labeled by fans as not too demanding. Those who want to enjoy the game in all its 4k glory, however, needs much better hardware to run the game optimally as shown below:
