The world has been waiting for "Final Fantasy XV" to happen, but it seems like the developer, Square Enix, is taking their time with it. While fans would understand this, gamers also want some updates about the highly anticipated video game. As if the game director stepping down wasn't enough to trigger worries about where the game is heading.

Low and behold, Square Enix has succumbed to the wishes of "Final Fantasy" fans. In the Tokyo Game Show, the company gave everyone something to hold on to — an 8-minute Final Fantasy gameplay trailer. To add, Square Enix also announced a new game director tasked to head the development of the game, Hajime Tabata.

As expected, the trailer shows how impressive the graphics and effects of the new game is, more so with the new battle system. The combat system in "FFXV" is more of a third-person action game, according to Game Rant.

In the trailer, it can be seen that the characters are fighting a behemoth, which is somewhat similar to "Kingdom Hearts." There is no surprise here because ex-director of "FFXV" Tetsuya Nomura is also the game director for "Kingdom Hearts 3." Hence, rumor has it that he left "Final Fantasy" to focus on "Kingdom Hearts," which makes total sense, by the way.

As for the new game director Tabata, he took the challenge head on and was even talking to the crowd at the Tokyo Game Show. He told them that players can drive the car seen in the trailer, and any party member can drive it, too. The car is used to help players more easily navigate through and explore the big world of "Final Fantasy XV." Further, Tabata confirmed that Chocobos will be included in the demo.

As of this moment, that's all everyone's got on "Final Fantasy XV." Still, there's no actual date for the release of the game. Nonetheless, the new gameplay trailer should encourage fans and players to wait a little while longer for the game to come out.
