"Festival of Life" Brings All Europeans Together To Pray For Revival

The bi-annual event London "Festival of Life" will be held on Friday 26 March 2004, organised by the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

It is the largest prayer gathering in Europe at which over 17,000 people of 490 partner churches, tailored to serve the needs of London's many and varied communities will come together. The night will be full of worship, teachings and prayer for spirit-led issues, including 'Revival in London and the Nation'.

The theme of this year's festival is "Preparing for Greatness", which embodies the promise that God is about to take people into new heights of greatness. However, every step of growth must have a preceding step of preparation.

The bi-annual event which started in April 1996 has become the largest all night non-denominational gathering of people in Europe from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.

The host, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who is General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) will be joined on the "Festival of Life" platform by the Rt Reverend David Urquhart, Rev Nims Obunge, Rachel Hickson, Jeremy Jennings, and Mike Pilavachi, 'Soul in the City's' Executive Director.

Soul in the City has the backing of major public figures including Prime Minister Tony Blair, Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir John Stevens, Archbishop of Canterbury, Most Rev Dr Rowan Williams, and Rev Joel Edwards, General Director, Evangelical Alliance.

"Teaming up with Soul in the City is a major statement of the desire of all the churches involved to reach across the cultural barrier and embrace each other, as well as focus on winning London for Christ", says Pastor Agu, Head of the RCCG's Executive Council.
