'Fear The Walking Dead' spoilers: flu shot

Does the flu vaccine have something to do with the zombie outbreak?

AMC recently released another sneak peek for the premiere of "Fear The Walking Dead," the highly anticipated companion series of the groundbreaking "The Walking Dead" TV adaptation of Robert Kirkman's comic books.

In the very short video clip, high school guidance counselor Madison (Kim Dickens) is asked by a male colleague about her health, but she reassures him that she already had her flu shot.

It can be remembered that one of the earlier teasers released for the upcoming series also mentions the flu shot, as an announcer reminds everyone to have their vaccine because a strange virus has been going around five states.

But is the flu vaccine enough to ward off the highly contagious virus that could eventually turn a human into the undead?

Fans of the original "The Walking Dead" series will have to wait for two more months before they can finally have a full glimpse of the new companion series. But before that, the cast and the people behind the show will answer some questions during the "Fear The Walking Dead" panel at the upcoming San Diego Comic Con 2015 on Friday, July 10.

A poster has been released specifically for the upcoming SDCC event, showing two footsteps heading over the Santa Monica pier. One of the footsteps looks like it came from a regular human, while the long, dragging one could have come from an infected zombie.

Aside from Dickens, some of the cast members of the upcoming series include Cliff Curtis as Madison's fiancé Travis, Frank Dillane as Madison's son with drug problem Nick, Alycia Debram-Carey as Madison's smart and very ambitious daughter Alicia, Lorenzo James Henrie as Travis' son Chris, and Elizabeth Rodriguez as Travis' ex-wife and Chris' mother Liza.

Kirkman will also act as the show's executive producer, just like in the original "TWD."
