"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 episode 8 focused entirely on Nick (Frank Dillane) and how he ended up looking at walkers in a different light, as well as how he ended up with a new group of survivors. Episode 9, as per TV Line, will focus on Madison's (Kim Dickens) group and how her relationship with Strand (Colman Domingo) is evolving.

According to showrunner Dave Erickson, Strand is going to be there for Madison in times of trouble and in a way that Travis (Cliff Curtis) hasn't been for a long while. While he wouldn't outright state that Madison and Strand were getting so close to the point of having a romantic relationship he did state that Strand was a seducer of people.

"He knew that there was something about Madison, and if they'd met at a different time, they absolutely would have related to one another. And she responds to him in a not dissimilar way to how she responded to Daniel (Ruben Blades) in season 1," Erickson explained.

It was further revealed that while Madison and Travis were going their separate ways they were going to reconnect in the future, whether by the end of season 2 or in season 3. At that point they would have changed emotionally and may be able to once again get together as a couple.

Travis, on the other hand, has been stated to be the moral compass of the group but by the end of season 2 and turning to season 3 he is going to lose that, heading into a darker direction. Erickson explains that this might be the factor that has been missing and with him getting rid of his moral inhibitions he and Madison might reconnect.

Given that episode 9 will focus on Madison's group it is speculated that episode 10 will focus on Travis and his son Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie).

"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 episode 9 airs on Aug. 28.
