The abominable snowman is ready for some smashing. "Far Cry 4" is prepping up to unfetter what could be Ajay Ghale's biggest and most ghastly adversary yet. The hotly-anticipated "Valley of the Yetis" DLC will be out on March 10 (March 11 in Europe) and it will have the warrior trudging through the snowy plains of the ever-dangerous Kyrat after his helicopter crashes him in the Himalayan Mountains, only to engage into full-on warfare against redoubtable yetis and an unthinkably evil cult.
When darkness strikes, a mysterious cult that goes by the name of The Awakened Ones come crashing in the arctic landscapes to "stalk their prey," as Ubisoft put it. Players will have to ward off the bloodcurdling troop as they "capture, upgrade and protect [their] camp." This certainly would not be easy with a throng of wicked cultists and a killer giant after them. "Valley of the Yetis" is made more exciting as gamers can pair up with a buddy who will take on the role of Hurk from "Far Cry 3," allowing them to take out the murky enemies side by side.
"The enemy is after a secret that lies in the heart of the valley. As you discover their motives, you will fight a mystic evil that runs deeper than anything you've ever seen before... But you don't have to do it alone!" Ubisoft Community Developer Kim Belair detailed in the PlayStation blog. "Co-op play extends to the entire Valley of the Yetis campaign, allowing players to once again play as Ajay and Hurk for even more bro-powered moments and anecdotes."
"Valley of the Yetis" is next in Ajay and Hurk's terrifying journey after "Escape from Durgesh Prison," which put the duo weaponless in a deadly prison. The DLC brought in permadeath mechanic and time trials, which made everything unimaginably brutal for the warrior cronies. The DLC retailed for $9.99 but there is no word on the pricing for "Valley of the Yetis." As always, it is included in the "Far Cry 4" season pass, which is priced at $30.
