'Family Guy' season 14 cast news, spoilers: Ashton Kutcher, John Mellencamp to guest star

"Family Guy" is gearing up for its 14th season and is set to feature a list of outstanding guest stars. According to a new report, Ashton Kutcher, John Mellencamp, and Ed O'Neill ("Modern Family") are all coming to the animated series in the new season.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Steve Callaghan gave the scoop about the season's guest stars, and Kutcher, who is married to Mila Kunis who voices Meg on the show, stars as himself in a live-action short. Callaghan said that they wrote him "some of the most ridiculous dialogue" and the actor couldn't have been a better sport about it.

Meanwhile, Mellencamp plays an animated version of himself and performs an original song in the season premiere, while O'Neill voices Joe Swanson's dad who comes to Quahog for an episode. Other guest stars include Glenn Close, Kyle Chandler, and Neil deGrasse Tyson. Kate McKinnon also joins the show as Peter's sister, a pro wrestler who uses the name Heavy Flow in the ring.

TVLine reports that season 14 is crazier than ever as one episode pays homage to the "Paranormal Activity" movies that results to the death of an innocent man. Peter and Quagmire each get a cooking show, and the two get extremely competitive as they face off in a contest, very similar to "Iron Chef," to find out which one gets to keep their new show. And those who love "Game of Thrones" will see the Griffiths' taking on the HBO show in the second episode of season 14.

As for Stewie, the littlest member of the family gets diagnosed with ADD, and Brian goes into Stewie's mind. One episode reveals that Quagmire is a Korean soap opera star, and Peter makes a mistake as he accidentally raises the drinking age to 50.

Season 14 of "Family Guy" premieres on Sept. 27 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
