BBC America released the first full trailer for the third season of "Orphan Black," just a month before the sci-fi series begins its latest installment. The one-minute video trailer shows that Sarah Manning's (Tatiana Maslany) life, and all of her sisters', will be in danger once again. This time, the threats come from a set of male clones (Ari Millen) under Project Castor.
The male version of Project Leda, where Sarah, Cosima, Helena, Rachel, as well as the other female clones came from, was introduced before the end of the second season when Mark was discovered to be part it. In the new season, the Leda and the Castor clones will clash against each other. Are the male clones created to destroy Sarah and her sisters? But basing on the trailer, it seems that the Leda strains will not give up that easily.
The trailer shows that Sarah is in a constant struggle to get away from all the chaos brought by the curse of being a part of the clone project. But she will never get the peaceful life that she has long been hoping for since everything is a part of a grand big plan under the Neolution movement. Her life, as well as the lives of all her clone siblings, is also in constant danger because of the assassination plot of the Proletheans.
Aside from Maslany and Millen, "Orphan Black" cast members also include Dylan Bruce, Zoe De Grand'Maison, as well as Kevin Hanchard. Actors Justin Chatwin, James Frain, and Ksenia Solo are also joining the cast as guest stars this season. The critically acclaimed sci-fi thriller is co-created by series director John Fawcett and series writer Graeme Manson.
"Orphan Black" season 3 premieres on April 18 on BBC America.
