TV fanatics are undoubtedly waiting with bated breath for the networks to reveal the shows they are going to renew for another season. While some favorite programs have a very good chance of seeing a continuation, there are those whose futures may not be so bright.
IGN has listed the shows on ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS and The CW that have a high probability of being renewed, namely "Blue Bloods," "The Carmichael Show," "Castle," "Dr. Ken," "Grimm," "The Grinder," and "The Last Man on Earth." There is also a good chance that "The Last Man Standing," "Life in Pieces," "Limitless," "Lucifer," "The Mysteries of Laura," "The Real O'Neals," "Rosewood," "Supergirl," and "The X-Files" will see a renewal.
While the fates of the above programs are still unannounced, those that will be coming back for another season include "Arrow," "The Big Bang Theory," "The Blacklist," "Blindspot," "Criminal Minds," "Dancing with the Stars," "Empire," "The Flash," "Gotham," "Grey's Anatomy," and "How to Get Away with Murder." Fans will also see the return of "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit," "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." "NCIS," "Once Upon a Time," "The Originals," "Supernatural," and "The Vampire Diaries," among others.
On the other end of the spectrum, the shows that have a low possibility of renewal are "Marvel's Agent Carter," "Bordertown," "Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life," and "CSI: Cyber." They also include "The Family," "Galavant," and "The Muppets." The website also does not see a good future for "Nashville," "Second Chance," and "Telenovela."
A number of shows, including "American Idol," "Extant" and "The Good Wife," will no longer return to the small screen. The list also includes "Heroes Reborn," "Minority Report," "Person of Interest," and "Under the Dome," among others.
Meanwhile, there is a 50-50 chance of the following programs being renewed: "American Crime," "Code Black," "Elementary," "Grandfathered," "Hawaii Five-O," "Sleepy Hollow," and "Undateable."
On a related note, The Huffington Post listed Netflix's renewed shows, including "House of Cards," "Longmire," "Daredevil," "Jessica Jones," and "Orange Is the New Black," to name a few. HBO, on the other hand, will bring back shows like "Game of Thrones," "Veep," and "Ballers"; AMC has "Fear the Walking Dead," and "Better Call Saul"; FX has "Fargo" and "American Horror Story"; while Showtime has "Homeland" and "Shameless."
This is an incomplete list, and the networks are expected to reveal the fates of their other shows in the near future.
