'Elder Scrolls 6' release date:'Skyrim 2' updates to be announced at 2016 E3 conference?

"The Elder Scrolls V," the current entry in the franchise Bethesda Softworks

The release of Bethesda's "The Elder Scrolls VI" is heavily anticipated but is something that has not been confirmed even up to this point. But will all that change in this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) conference?

Bethesda took to Twitter this week to announce their participation in the upcoming conference, which will be held in Los Angeles, California on Jun. 12, 7 p.m. PST. Speculations are now rife that "The Elder Scrolls VI's" release date will be announced at the said event.

Any "The Elder Scrolls" or "Skyrim" fan is hoping that the company will finally reveal the release date for the next "The Elder Scrolls" installment, but reports and even fans on Twitter are betting on announcements of downloadable content (DLCs) for "Doom" and "Fallout 4," and a release date for "Dishonored 2."

Details about "The Elder Scrolls VI" are still kept under wraps, but according to multiple reports, fans may not be seeing the game really soon. Bethesda is reportedly focused more on their current hit, "Fallout 4" and will be spending extra time to develop and drop its DLCs in the near future. Once all the DLCs have been completed, the developer will reportedly start directing their focus toward "The Elder Scrolls VI."

"The Elder Scrolls VI" is rumored to be a continuation of events that transpired in "Skyrim." The location that will be featured in the upcoming game is also a favorite topic for debate. There are speculations that "The Elder Scrolls VI" will be set in Valenwood, Argonia, or Elsweyr; but according to Neurogadget, Valenwood is more appropriate.

As for expectations on the release date, the same publication mentioned that more updates about "Elder Scrolls VI" are likely to pop up by 2017, when "Fallout 4" will presumably complete all its DLCs. In addition, if Bethesda's release date pattern for "The Elder Scrolls" games is any indication, 2019 is a probable release date.

Then again, these are merely speculations and only Bethesda will have the final say.
