Duggar family news: Jeremy Vuolo says he'd love a little girl who is just like Jinger Duggar because he was a 'little terror'

"Counting On" star Jinger Duggar and her husband Jeremy Vuolo are expecting their first child together. Whatever the gender of their first baby, both of them are hoping that the baby would take after their best qualities.

During their video announcement for TLC, Vuolo said that he was quite a handful as a young boy. So he is hoping that their child would grow up to be just like their mom. "I am praying that the baby will look like, act like, talk like, be like Jinger, and so I've asked everyone else to pray as well," he said. "I was a little terror as a child, so I'm hoping that the little one will be as much like Jinger as possible."

However, if Duggar had her way, she would love their child to be just like Vuolo. "I hope that the baby will be like Jeremy," she said. "He's just very kind and gracious."

They are quite excited to enter into this new chapter of their lives, and for now, they are getting themselves ready for the demands of parenthood. "I think we're most looking forward to just having this little one in our arms and being parents," said Duggar, "and learning how to multi-task."

The couple announced their pregnancy on their website just last week. While they have enjoyed being married to one another, their happiness has multiplied significantly because they are expecting their first child.

"The past fourteen months have been the best of our lives as we have had the wonderful privilege of beginning our journey through life together in marriage. We both looked forward to the joys of marriage but neither one of us fully understood just how amazing the start of this journey would be. Truly, the Lord's mercies are new every morning!" they wrote. "Now, the journey has taken an exciting turn: we are expecting our first child! We are praising God for this beautiful gift and ask that you join us in praying for a safe and healthy pregnancy."

Does the Church of England need to re-think its messaging?

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
